To check, try different channels and see if the sound restores in any of those. It could just be a transmission error from the broadcast station. Sometimes, the problem lies neither on your end nor the TV’s or the Cable Box. They have similar settings that can obstruct your audio. Note: Check the volume level and mute mode on your TV converters or set-top box, too. Just like the Mute button, your volume key may be accidentally touched and decreased all the way down to zero. Just press the Mute button on your remote control to see if the sound comes back. People usually skip this check because they’re sure they haven’t enabled the mute mode.Ĭouldn’t it be your roomie or a visiting friend?ĭon’t you have a pet that has accidentally stepped on your remote control, pressing the Mute key? Whatever the case, we’ve come up with practical solutions to help you diagnose and solve your issue of a Toshiba TV with no sound.Īs ridiculous as it seems, the mute feature is a common cause of Toshiba TV with no sound error. It can have various causes, such as your TV hardware, settings, cables, external devices, or the provider. The no sound issue is very common not only in Toshiba but for other brands like Samsung, Hitachi, LG, Sharp, and Sony. But you’ve got to make sure the audio settings are right. There’s no audio from your Toshiba TV, but video streams fine, making you wonder where the problem is. ![]() Zoom has proven to be a really powerful app over these past couple of years during the pandemic.

You can simply take your car of choice onto any track that you fancy in any destination and just drive. ![]() In addition to the regular features that have carried over from the original release, DriveClub VR also has a new mode: Cruise. It’s the same gameplay progression system, just with the added bonus of VR. Much like OG DriveClub, there’s a fully fleshed out campaign to work through: you’ll race in events to gain stars, take on challenges, and compete in championships. Honestly, this VR business does strange things to a man’s mind. You get a better sense of depth that allows you to judge those tight turns more accurately, and flying past an opponent for the first time had me looking left and giving the finger before I realised I’m sitting in my living room, not in my car on the autobahn. The VR aspect of DriveClub is more than just a tacked-on gimmick. I found this to be the optimal way to play and it really got me into the game, so much so that I’d look down at the gearstick when I heard the engine hit that ‘sweet spot’ before gear changes, but gear changes happen automatically… Still, I was very impressed, even more so when I was nipping around corners and instinctively checking my mirrors for the competition. You can play the game with the traditional controller configuration, or you can go into the settings and change the controls so that moving the DualShock 4 left and right mimics the movement of the wheel. Granted, I didn’t use a proper wheel, though I did manage to do alright with the next best thing: the DualShock 4’s motion controls. Once I’d gotten over the VR sickness (this may vary between players,) I was having a whale of a time. I was free to shove my head through the window (though no shattering glass, unfortunately) and I was free to get down on my knees and really inspect the pedals. I was free to look behind me and see the empty seats. I spent my first few minutes just looking around and seeing what the limits were there were none. You can poke your head around the inside of a car and really have a good nosey at what’s going on. See, unlike regular DriveClub, DriveClub VR places you directly in the game – so long as you opt for the cockpit view and not the third-person camera. In fact, I’d go as far to say that it’s very good. To be fair, this was my first ever proper play of a game in virtual reality, and while the first couple of hours involved lots of heaving and throwing up my dinner, I came away a changed man. Then I hit the accelerator and things took a turn for the worse. At first it was full of splendor as I looked around my car, poked my head out the window, and even tried to grab the dashboard instinctively. As I mentioned briefly in my review of the PlayStation VR, DriveClub was my first foray into virtual reality racing. That’s how I’d sum up my first couple of hours with DriveClub VR. Help TeamVVV grow by supporting us on Patreon: Lots and lots of vomit. Check out the Driveclub hardcore handling in action below. It may not revolutionise the game but the hardcore handling option was certainly welcome by us and we did get some more fun out of Driveclub as a result of it. We also needed to brake earlier to get the speed down in time for the turns using about half the braking pressure as we would compared to the standard handling model. Using the hardcore handling mode we noticed immediately the lack of grip in the rear tyres as the BMW tended to get its rear end out through turns. The Own Town 01 track features lots of undulation and we felt it was an enjoyable track with a pleasant flow to it. The action takes place from the dashboard camera viewpoint and we are using the BMW M4. Our second Driveclub video featuring the new city tracks puts its focus on the Old Town 01 track configuration and we take part in two races, the first with the standard handling and the second using the hardcore handling model. There’s no specific/current plans to re-implement in the Vantage series: The following features also were on the V800, but aren’t on the Vantage series. Meanwhile, the following features are slated to be added, but no timeline has been specified: – Route Guidance for waypoint navigation of downloaded routes (Vantage V only) The following features aren’t available on the Vantage V/M series (but were previously found on the predecessor Polar V800), but are slated to be re-added by the end of February 2019 through a handful of scheduled updates: In talking with Polar – they were eyeing that watch as their main competitor in this space for the Vantage M.īut it’s not all bubbles and rainbows. That’s priced well, though it’s also on-par price-wise with the Suunto Spartan Trainer Wrist HR. – Weight is a mere 45g instead of 66g for Vantage V – No Recovery Pro metrics (but does have other training load metrics) – Added swappable straps using industry standard quick release bands (the Vantage V doesn’t have this) – GPS 1-second battery down to 30 hours instead of 40 hours (but seriously, that’s still incredible) ![]() – No native running power, as it lacks a barometric altimeter (still works with 3rd party running power like Stryd though) When it comes to the Vantage M, here’s the core differences to the Vantage V: It’s $549USD/EUR for the bundle with the Polar H10 HR chest strap. The price is $499USD/EUR for the base models in orange, white, or black. – Reduced weight of watch from 79g to 66g – Made watch round, from rectangular shape previously – Added both segmented real-time and post-processing of optical HR data to fix quirks (I’ll explain later) – Added new ‘Recovery Pro’ metrics (daily recovery, training, and balance stats) – requires H6/H7 or H10 chest strap. – Added new training load metrics (cardio/muscle/perceived stats) – Added running power from the wrist (no sensors required) – Changed max GPS-battery life to 40-hours 1-second recording with optical HR too – Changed GPS chipset maker to that of Sony (same as what Suunto 9 uses) – Added color touchscreen, still retains buttons for all athletic functions – Added electronic skin-contact sensor to validate a human is attached to watch – Addition of optical heart rate sensor (both for workouts and 24×7 HR) Also, this list is specifically for the Vantage V: Note I’m looking at the ‘what’s new’ from the perspective primarily of the V800 (its predecessor). Fear not, down below in the ‘overview’ section I go through things in more detail too. It helps you filter the cool stuff from the marketing fluff. I always like condensing everything down into a single bulleted section of newness. Whereas if you’re just walking up to the bar, then this is a good place to start understanding the unit. If you already know what’s new in the Vantage series, then you can likely skip this section. Additionally, while I have data stretching as far back as early September, this review accounts for features in the watch as of the latest firmware update two days ago (and includes tests on that firmware as well). In any case, once I’m done with these reviews I’ll be shooting Polar back the small collection of media loaner Vantage V & M watches I have, and going out and getting my own through normal retail channels. Still, I’ll likely aim to do a Vantage M focused review later next month (which also coincides with travel to warmer locales where getting more openwater swim testing is viable again). ![]() By and large most people are finding similar performance between the M and V units from an accuracy standpoint. I will note however in this review when there are V-only features that don’t apply to the M. Said differently: I’ve just done the vast majority of the workouts with the Vantage V as opposed to the Vantage M. Despite that, this review will be focused on the Vantage V from a data collection standpoint. The two units are incredibly similar, both from a design and functionality standpoint. While the Vantage M focuses on the mid-range, and carves out a bit of a new segment for Polar, it is meant to compete with Suunto’s Spartan Trainer Wrist HR, as well as undercut Garmin a bit in the multisport game. The V is the higher end multisport watch, meant to be a direct replacement of the nearly 5-year old V800. This series is currently comprised of two watches, the Vantage V and Vantage M. It’s been four months since Polar announced their new Vantage series of multisport watches. ![]() More than just an average urban music magazine, The Hype Magazine services our readers a diverse collection of stories, interviews and impactful editorials. It arrived in the region in the same month as the Sega Genesis and was test marketed in the exact same areas. ![]() While the PC Engine launched in Japan unopposed, the TurboGrafx's North American debut was awkwardly timed. The same story cannot be told for TurboGrafx-16, which failed internationally. The original model of the PC Engine is also notable for its size, being one of the smallest video game consoles ever made at 5.5 in × 5.5 in × 1.5 in. Furthermore, HuCards are actually descended from "Bee Cards" (as in the bee that appears on the Hudson logo) which Hudson made for the MSX home computer, although a special cartridge was required to use them. Although the Sega Master System also used cards in addition to cartridges, they were far less common due to the storage limitations of the format. These plastic game cards were about the size of credit cards, but slightly thicker, with connectors clearly visible on the end. in a similar fashion to "Game Pak", or "Mega Cartridge" and "M圜ard/"Sega Card". ![]() The most unique characteristic of the system was that the non-CD games did not come on bulky cartridges, but rather on thin TurboChips/HuCards note "HuCard" was used in all regions "TurboChip" was just an alternative name utilized for marketing in the U.S. Its mascot character was Bonk, or PC Genjin in Japanese, a clearly Punny Name on the system's name. The system is most noteworthy for being the first console to successfully challenge Nintendo's dominance of the video game market (at least in Japan) and being the first to play games off CDs (via an add-on). The TurboGrafx-16, known as the PC Engine in Japan, was (sort of) a 16-bit console developed by Hudson Soft and sold by NEC that was released first in Japan in 1987 and in North America in 1989. Most substances get smaller when they solidify and become more dense, but water actually expands. Where things get weird is in the expansion/contraction in the transition from ice to water or from water to ice. These numbers shift a bit based on what’s dissolved in the water (salt, etc.) and pressure, but the vast majority of the time that won’t really matter since measuring specific temperature doesn’t come up much in a game with dragons that breathe fire. Water freezes at roughly 32 degrees Farenheight, and boils at roughly 212 degrees Farenheight. The basic physics of water are fairly simple. It also rules out plants, animals, and other creatures since a layperson wouldn’t identify a jellyfish as water despite being composed of 95% water. That test rules out steam, ice, vapor, simple syrup (water super-saturated with sugar), poisons, alcohols, bodily fluids of most types, oil, and many “solutions” which players might try to argue are water due to their component parts. The substance is not so full of other substances that a layperson would identify it as a different substance, such as blood, syrup, or wine. The substance’s viscosity is consistent with water (it’s not sludge, gel, etc.).The substance is a liquid composed primarily of water. Here is what I propose to judge if a substance is water: Purity is clearly part of it, but it’s unclear how much. At what point does it stop being muddy water and become mud? Jellyfish or 95% water, but they’re not “water”.ĭefining a test for what constitutes water is hard. Now imagine that your mystery liquid is instead dirt, and you’re mixing it into water. As you pour your mystery liquid into your water, at some point it’ll stop being “water” and you’ll think of it more as a mixture or as a diluted quantity of that mystery liquid. The first few drops we can still say that I have a cup of water. I then stir in some quantity of another liquid substance that contains no water. But having a clear answer that you and your DM both agree upon is foundational to how Shape Water works.įor example: I have a cup of pure water. ![]() The question “what is water?” seems so silly on its face that the fact that I’m raising the question seems like a waste of time. We’ll look at the game rules of course, but we’ll also need to spend some time consider physics, chemistry, and some fluid dynamics to understand how water works in the real world in order to apply that knowledge in your game. This article may take you to some unexpected places. Of the three cantrips, Shape Water is without question the most versatile and powerful, but understanding why that’s the case requires some examination. ![]() Introduced in the Elemental Evil Player’s Companion, Shape Water was one of the four new elemental cantrips intended to offer spellcasters some magical control over the elements.
